The Creole School existed to educate the “Creoles of Color”, which made up a prominent, but small sized portion of the Mobile and Mobile County population, in 1861. The Principal of the School was Mrs. L.M. Butler.

Freda Roberts the first woman elected to a county wide seat back in 1978, passed away today. She served the citizen’s of Mobile, for four 6 year terms, as Revenue Commissioner. She was preceded in her death, by her husband of 49 year’s Mr. C.H. Roberts Jr. and is survived by her four children. She was 73 year’s old. May She Rest In Peace.

This is the beautiful flag of The City of Mobile, Alabama. The City Seal in the middle also incorporates the 6 Flag’s which have flown over the City. These are in historical order > The French, The English, The Spanish, The Republic of Alabama, The United States and The Confederate 3rd National (and again the U.S. Flag).

The Town of Satsuma, Alabama, located in Mobile County, Alabama came into existence after petioning for a Charter of Incorporation, to both the County and State, in 1959. The first Municipal Election was held on April 6th, 1959.
